Charlotte: Echoes Of Ukrainian Retro

We invite you to an unforgettable evening of Ukrainian retro songs of the 1960s-1980s performed by a charming acoustic trio: Valeria Vovk, Sofia Leshyshak and Michele Romeo.

The program will feature works by legendary composers and performers: Bohdan Veselovsky, Anatoliy Kos-Anatolsky, Anatoliy Horynsky, Volodymyr Ivasyuk, Ihor Poklad, Yaroslav Barych, as well as iconic songs by the Marenych Trio. It will be a musical journey into the "golden era" of Ukrainian pop, which shaped generations and gave us immortal melodies.

Valeria is a singer and songwriter from Odesa, and Sofia is an actress and singer from Lviv. They are both known for their emotional vocals and modern interpretations of Ukrainian folk and pop music, as well as millions of views on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In 2024, they formed an online duo for the first time, which immediately captivated Ukrainian audiences. This tour will be the first opportunity to hear their duet live.

The proceeds from the concert will go to the Can I Influence initiative of the TIKO Foundation. The organization, founded by Andriy Lyman in 2022, has already raised more than $3.7 million for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - drones, turnstiles, shock systems, body armor, vehicles and their repairs. In 2024, Valeriia and Sofia became ambassadors of the foundation. In recent months alone, Valeria has raised over $20,000 to buy and repair vehicles for the Ukrainian military.
