New York: Echoes Of Ukrainian Retro

We invite you to an unforgettable evening of Ukrainian retro songs from the 1960s–1980s performed by a charming acoustic trio: Valeria Vovk, Sofia Leshishak, and Mikel Romeo.

The program will feature works by legendary composers and performers: Bohdan Veselovsky, Anatoly Kos-Anatolsky, Anatoly Gorinsky, Vladimir Ivasyuk, Igor Poklad, Yaroslav Barnych, as well as cult songs by Trio Marenych. It will be a musical journey into the "golden age" of Ukrainian pop music, which shaped a generation and gave us immortal melodies.

Valeria is a singer and songwriter from Odesa, and Sofia is an actress and singer from Lviv. Both are known for their emotional vocals and modern interpretations of Ukrainian folk and pop music, as well as millions of views on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In 2024, they formed their first online duo, which immediately won over Ukrainian listeners. This tour will be the first opportunity to hear them perform live.

Proceeds from the concert will go to the TYHO Foundation's "I Can Influence" initiative. Founded by Andriy Lyman in 2022, the organization has already raised over $3.7 million for the Ukrainian Armed Forces — drones, tourniquets, strike complexes, body armor, vehicles, and repairs. In 2024, Valeria and Sofia became ambassadors for the foundation. In recent months alone, Valeria has raised over $20,000 to purchase and repair vehicles for the Ukrainian military.
