Pysanka Workshop with Sofiya Ohordnyk

Welcome to the 2026 Pysanka Workshop! Guided by expert artist Sofiya Ohorodnyk, you’ll learn the wax-resist technique and create your own beautifully crafted pysanka to take home.

Pysanka is a traditional Ukrainian Easter Egg, that is elaborately decorated by delicately layering hot wax and special dyes onto an egg's surface.

The whole process is extremely calming and rewarding. The colors stay on the egg's surface and do not wash away.

In Ukrainian tradition, pysanka is a rare gift and a valuable family relic.

​​​​Due to the use of hot wax and candle fire, we do not recommend the workshop for children under seven years old. Adult supervision is required for children up to 14 years old. All adults that are supervising their children should register as well.

Price is $85 per person.
