Ukrainian Film Screening & Live Q&A — July 18

Join UkrainianFilmSF and C Ukraine for a special screening of Resilient Expression: Ukrainian Artists in Estonia, followed by a live Q&A with filmmaker Parker Watt. The film explores how art becomes a source of healing, resilience, and cultural continuity for Ukrainian artists who found refuge in Estonia after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Through eleven interconnected stories, audiences will meet artists and creative groups whose work preserves Ukrainian identity, supports their communities, and helps Ukrainian culture thrive abroad. The post-screening conversation offers a meaningful chance to hear directly from the filmmaker about the making of the documentary and the stories behind it. Donations collected at the door will support Volunteer Movement UA-USA and Army SOS, two organizations providing vital aid to Ukraine. This event brings together Ukrainian and international audiences to celebrate cinema, spark thoughtful dialogue, and stand in solidarity with Ukraine.
