International Bandura Competition Applications Open

Applications are now open for an international bandura competition presented by BandurArts and the Young Performers Foundation. Bandura performers ages 10–25, including soloists and small ensembles of 2–6 performers, are invited to apply and compete in age and skill-based categories. Round 1 is an online video submission due by October 25, 2026, followed by Round 2 with live or online participation. Live participation takes place on November 14, 2026, and grand prize winner(s) will be invited to perform at Carnegie Hall on January 15, 2027, with a Bandura Gala on January 16, 2027. Applicants must submit two contrasting works by different composers with a total performance time of up to 10 minutes. Early bird applicants who apply by September 15, 2026 receive 20% off the application fee with promo code BANDURA.
