Evening with Ukrainian Writer Ruslan Gorovyi

Join the Connecticut community for a special evening with renowned Ukrainian writer, documentary filmmaker, and volunteer Ruslan Gorovyi. The program features a screening of the documentary "Moshchun: The Diary of Liudmyla Oleksandrivna," followed by a conversation with the author and an opportunity to purchase signed books. The film tells the moving story of a retired woman who found herself on the front line during the 2022 battle for Kyiv and documented everything she witnessed in her diary. English subtitles will be available, and both Ukrainian- and English-speaking guests are welcome. Admission is free. Proceeds from book sales and donations will support the purchase of firewood for vulnerable families and elderly people in de-occupied regions of Ukraine.
